Hi all,

After months of sitting on my hands, I have finally set up my food blog. Thanks, I know.

Anyone who knows me is fully aware of my obsession with food – talking about it, reading about it, watching it on TV (thanks Nigella and Ina Garten), cooking it and the best bit – eating it. I say that if I win the Euro millions (which is clearly likely to happen), I will quit my job and go to culinary school, become a super chef, and set up my own food critic empire, wiping Zagats into the water, and taking on the role of THE expert in the field on all things food/cooking/restaurants/the universe. Pipe dreams perhaps or maybe not.

Until I rake in my millions though, I am content to keep cooking and trying every restaurant I fancy and sharing all of my thoughts, opinions and whinging with you.

I must warn you, I lead a very hedonistic lifestyle when it comes to food – and until I stop having a fast metabolism, I don’t have any plans to change that. Most of the things I post on this blog will be unhealthy, waistline expanding and downright heart attack inducing. In other words, delicious. If you want to take the plunge, follow the blog.

Lastly, this wouldn’t be a true ‘American expat living in London’ blog if my first post wasn’t something super indicative of my massive American appetite in conjunction with my love of British food. Therefore, my first ‘foodie’ post that hopefully isn’t as shit as this first one, will be me sharing a ‘Toad in the Hole’ recipe – the best of British pork sausage and Yorkshire pud!
